Beverage sales by container type in Macedonia

The trend in Macedonia is clear: the number of beverages packaged and sold in refillable containers is steadily decreasing, while the number sold in non-refillable containers is on the rise. As of 2015, 71% of all beverages sold in Macedonia were in one-way containers, up from 36% in 2000. This represents a major shift from 2000 when nearly 2/3 of the market was taken up by refillables.
