Beverage sales by container type in Serbia
In Serbia, there has been a significant shift in the market towards one-way containers and away from refillables. Since 2000, the number of beverages sold in non-refillable containers has more than doubled, to a point where they now have 65% market share (up from 27% in 2000). At the same time, the number of beverages sold in refillable containers has been reduced in half, from 1.2 billion units in 2000 to 6 million units in 2015.
