Reloop has joined over 25 leading organisations, including NGOs, trade associations and businesses, in urging the European Commission to address a major gap in the draft Clean Industrial State Aid Framework (CISAF).
While circularity is recognised as a core pillar of the Clean Industrial Deal (CID), the current framework offers no state aid provisions to support it.
In the joint statement, the signatories urge the Commission to ensure the CISAF includes explicit provisions for Circularity measures. Enabling state aid for projects that boost material circularity will make Europe’s industrial production more sustainable, accelerate decarbonisation efforts, and significantly enhance resource security.
