As part of our work on the UN legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, Reloop has made written submissions in advance of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee Meeting 3 (INC-3).
In this submission we proposed several areas for inter-sessional work, including definitions, criteria, substances of concern, microplastics, EPR guidelines, the transition period, collection and deposit return systems, cost recovery and measurement methodologies, among other issues. We also commented on National Action Plans, funding, support for Member States, and supported the establishment of a science and technical body.
