Our briefing on consumer research polling regarding the New Zealand Government’s proposal to introduce a beverage container return scheme (CRS).
The survey found that New Zealand consumers are overwhelmingly in favor of the Government’s proposal to introduce a CRS for the recycling of beverage containers. Most consumers indicated a preference for the deposit to be set at NZ30cents, rather than the proposed NZ20cents, and say they are most likely to engage with the scheme if supermarket-based container return points are involved.
